London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Transport Dinner 2014
On September 3rd Trudy Peeler, Head of Transport and Infrastructure at Impact Executive, hosted a table at the 2014 London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Transport Dinner.
The theme for the evening was “Keeping London moving” and host Tony Pidgley CBE, President of LCCI and Guest of Honour Rt Hon Patrick McLoughlin MP, Secretary of State for Transport shared their thoughts on the transport issues effecting business in London. Rail and infrastructure investment featured prominently with considerable coverage of the benefits Crossrail and HS2 with bring to both Londoners and those further afield. House building, regeneration and the need to create more homes in a city that has reached housing capacity was also highlighted. The on-going concern of Airport expansion was also raised with Colin Stanbridge Chief Executive, LCCI calling for decisive action.
Held at Claridge’s the event was attended by key representatives from all areas of the transport industry as well as a wider business audience with an interest in the sector.
