A rapidly evolving government department is looking for a Senior Interim HR Manager.
The role involves leading a team of HR professionals in the delivery of HR issues and intiatives. Responsibilities include:
- Resourcing - involvement in hiring of senior posts and ensuring a new approach to recruitment which streamlines processes
- Implementing policies and procedures which are current being reviewed
- Working closely with learning and development to introduce new approaches such as talent management programme and development programme
- Instilling a business partner ethos into the team and across the organisation
- Pay and grading - managed appeals process and assess post-implementation issues
- Diversity - ensure practices are up-to-date and integrated into business operations
- HR Systems - advise and assist in upgrading and integrating HR systems to meet business needs
This is a very critical role for an organisation that is experiencing tremendous change and so the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Strong HR delivery background with a passion for driving excellence through the organisation
- Experience of working within a combination of public and private sectors
- A consultative approach with strong communicaton skills
- Attention to detail with a 'can do' approach
- Experience of working in an organisation experiencing change
- Excellent people management and coaching skills
- Expertise and knowledge on all HR issues
- Play an active role in change management, taking the lead and driving forward change
- Knowledge of pensions, pay and reward, strong IT skills and experience in learning and development methodologies
- Experience of working in a unionised environment
