Our client a leading retailer is looking for an Interim Merchandising Controller with non- fashion retail experience.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Deputising for Merchandising Director, if required
• Lead the team of 20 to 30 merchandisers to deliver the sales forecast. Analyse trends, demographics and sales and develop a range to meet customer needs and to support the business strategy
• Work with the Buying teams to identify sales and margin opportunities
• Work in partnership with the buying, sourcing, design and technical teams to grow direct sourcing and increase profitability
• Deliver all milestones within the critical path to meet the Divisional buying and sales calendar

Experience Required:

• Experience within a non-fashion retailer
• Experienced manager with significant experience of working with multi -product, trend led product sector
• Experience of working cross functionally, securing buy-in through influencing and essentially being part of a team
