Our utilities client are in the process of delivering significant business improvement through major change to existing retail and trading systems, processes and operational arrangements.
The transition piece is organised in a series of high profile and complex change programmes focussed on project delivery and business results across all business functions from technical IT and process mapping activity to leadership, development and culture change.
Focussed programme management is required to ensure the separate change projects dovetail to meet the overall critical path and enable sound and joined up decision making regarding systems, process and organisation issues.
Role Information
An opportunity exists for an Interim IT Programme Manager with a technical IT background and a robust track record in transition and success change delivery, ideally in an energy trading or utilities environment.
The Interim would work closely with Senior Managers in the retail and wholesale trading businesses to deliver the business transition programme and identify and deploy quick wins as part of the implementation process.
Essential Requirements
- IT consulting and delivery, in trading or financial services experience
- To be able to demonstrate sound and inspirational leadership across functions and levels
- To be capable of managing and motivating a multi functional team made up of consultant/perm staff
- To have sound contract management/negotiation and project management skills
- To demonstrate forward thinking with exceptional problem solving ability
- To exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- To have commercial acumen with the ability to apply knowledge to real business issues
- To be decisive and delivery focussed
- To have the capability to deliver solutions and create proposals in new, unknown and unspecified business circumstances
- To take the role of a change leader able to influence others through the creation of sound business argument and strategy
