The Role
- The role reports to the CEO/COO and is responsible for Finance and Corporate Services.
- There is a lot of liaison with other stakeholders in other government departments.
- The breadth of the role includes Strategic, Statutory and Management Accounting and involvement in many other projects.
The Candidate
- Recent Public Sector experience is essential.
- Previous experience of working in a similar role within a central government or agency is very highly desirable.
- Experience of financial management, business planning and accounting and knowledge of Central Government.
- Accounting and Governance would be very useful as would experience of dealing with complex technical accounting issues and their impact on statutory accounts.
- Previous experience of designing and implementing systems and procedures with adequate internal control.
- A sound strategic awareness, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and influence senior management.
