Interim Finance Director (Corporate Services) based in London with some travel in the UK. Our client is a Government Agency.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the financial planning and management of this organisation will operate effectively within the resources allocated and in accordance with Government's finance and accounting regulations and standards. Daily rate from £650 - £800 not including travel and accommodation. Duration an estimated 3/6 months.
Key Accountabilities
- Developing a framework of financial management, accounting, administrative systems, procedures, regulations and standards to meet government requirements
- Development of the financial strategy, planning and budgetary processes
- Providing financial management reports to the main board
- Implementing the next stage of the finance function and organisational development
Key Competencies
The essential requirements are:
A track record of effective financial management within public sector in a complex operational environment at a senior level, including strong experience of:
- Strategic resource and financial management
- Financial planning, forecasting, risk management and budget setting
- Strong team leadership and change management
- Interpretation of financial data into high quality information to aid effective decision making
- Proven experience in successful performance management of staff
- Qualified ACCA or ACA or CIMA
