A UK utilities company is currently undergoing major restructuring within its IT division and is looking for a highly inspirational Interim Development Manager to be part of its change agenda.
Key Tasks
- Assisting the development team in transitioning to a new structure post-restructuring
- Ensuring that the team is highly motivated and challenged
- Acting as a change agent in winning buy-in from the team and making things happen
This is a role for an Interim Development Manager who is capable of leading and inspiring a large team of people to embrace change and be highly effective in servicing the needs of the business. Someone who is comfortable in managing conflicts and winning individuals with a positive nature and effortless style.
Essential Requirements
- Hands-on line management experience rather than a pure consultancy or project management background
- Whilst this is not a technical role, the interim should be familiar with the IT development lifecycle and have applications (eg Oracle) experience
- Experience of leading and managing teams of people
- Exposed to a change management environment
- Banking or software industry background would be ideal where the interim has previously run the applications side of the business or is currently in a large in-house development role.
