Our client is a large, complex organisation with interests nationally and globally covering a range of sectors.

Role Information
As Contract Manager, you will be the principal contact representing the client organisation and interacting with the PFI and PPP Contractors. You will provide the management framework for the contracts and liaise with the respective contract management teams. The individual will also manage relationship with other individuals who provide specialist and functional support including Statutory Authorities.
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans with the contractors to achieve the project delivery programme within the constraints of the programme.
- Work with functional specialists to ensure solutions developed by the contractors are reviewed and confirmed.
- Ensure compliance with the specification of the agreement.
- Work closely with the Commercial Managers to ensure risks and opportunities are identified and managed
- Monitor all project activities, interfaces, risks, budget and costs and ensure the production of consolidated project reports. Recommend and implement actions.
- Ensure the planning and execution of the testing and integration of all aspects of the project.
- Ensure approvals from business, stakeholders and Statutory Authorities are obtained in a timely manner.
- Provide leadership for the effective planning, co-ordination and management of an integrated commissioning and handover programme
- Requirements for witnessing specific activities and agreements on authorised signatories are to be included.
Essential Requirements
- Min 5-7 years project management experience gained within a PPP/PFI contract environment and possibly as a Bid Manager
- An understanding of technical issues, complex processes and contract details in order to ensure that contractual issues are understood
- Abreast of current legislation and practice relating to Health & Safety
- Exposure to a transport and infrastructure background would be highly advantageous
- Negotiating, influencing skills are highly imperative as is the ability to pay attention to detail and be highly analytical.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a highly political environment and be effective in engaging and managing multiple stakeholders.
